Philippians 4:6-7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
It may be difficult at the start because emotionally we do not feel like praising God when things do not turn out the way we want. When my relationship with my gf did not work out and we broke up God told me to praise Him. My reaction was it is impossible for me to praise You, Lord. God I really hate You !!! Why did You allow this to happen? Anger and grief was what I felt. But God persisted so I grudgely praised Him.
For the first week said Lord I Praise You resentfully. On the second week I praised God with no feeling.
On the third week God said Praise Me and thank Me for your BGR breakup. haha God You must be crazy I retorted. I thanked God with my mouth but not from my heart.
On the fourth week a miracle happened I really thanked God from the bottom of my heart and I praised Him with all my heart. I felt Joy and Peace that I cannot understand and express.
On the fifth week God said now I want you to bless your ex gf and her new bf. haha God really likes to stretch our faith. Guess what happened?
